Met de toevoeging van twee grinds en nieuwe loft aanbiedingen, vertegenwoordigen de s159 wedges onze meest veelzijdige wedge lijn tot nu toe, waardoor de wedge prestaties aanzienlijk worden verbeterd en de aanpasmogelijkheden worden uitgebreid. Uitgebreide tests met PING tourspelers hebben bijgedragen aan het creëren van wedges die aantrekkelijk zijn voor golfers van alle niveaus.
Het 8620 carbon stalen clubhoofd is gegoten in een oogstrelende vorm met een meer vierkante lead edge, wat vooral gunstig is bij volle slagen. Een elastomeer inzetstuk achter het slagvlak draagt bij aan het zachte en responsieve gevoel.
Bij het adresseren heeft het compacte clubhoofd een verbeterde hoselovergang met een constante offset die naadloos past bij de nieuwe Blueprint S en T ijzers.
De groeven met wieluitsnijding zijn met precisie gefreesd in verschillende afmetingen, afhankelijk van de loft. De 54- tot 62-graden opties hebben meer dicht op elkaar geplaatste MicroMax groeven. De 46- tot 52-graden wedges hebben een zijwand van 20 graden, gefreesd om het volume van de groeven te maximaliseren voor meer controle bij volle shots.
In combinatie met het wrijvingsverhogende slagvlak leveren de s159 wedges de lancering en spincontrole om scoreverlagende wedge shots te spelen vanaf elke afstand.

New “H” or Half-Moon Grind: A shot-saving option for players with steeper angles of attack who like to manipulate the handle and play with versatility. It performs best in softer conditions. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°

“W” Grind: Maximum forgiveness through the turf. Best fits a steep angle of attack who might also have a lot of handle lean and a player who prefers the look of a specialty wedge but relies on a little more forgiveness in their scoring clubs. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
“E” or Eye2 Grind: Continues to be the ultimate bunker club, carrying on a 40-year tradition of helping golfers get up and down from the sand. It plays with relatively low bounce on square or slightly open face shots. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
“S” Grind: Fits a wide variety of conditions and techniques. Designed with ample bounce in the mid-section to play full shots and provides greenside versatility due to heel/trail edge relief. New 48-degree option helps in gapping. Available in 46°, 48° (new), 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
